Biography
Albert Jeltsch is awarded PhD in Biochemistry from the Institute of Biophysical Chemistry at Hannover Medical School in the 1994 – 1998. He holds a Diploma in biochemistry at the Department of Chemistry, from University of Hannover in the year 1992-1994. He was the lecturer of Biochemistry "C2" at the Institute of Biochemistry at the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen from 2003 to 2006. He was the Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the International University Bremen for years 2006-2011. Currently, he is working as a Full Professor of Biochemistry at the Jacobs University Bremen. He is a scholar of the Foundation of the German people from 1992 to 1994. He has received Fellow of the Fonds of the Chemical Industry 1997 Research Award of the Justus-Liebig University in 1999. He has also won Gerhard Hess prize of the German research Foundation (DFG) in the year 2001 and BioFuture price of the Federal Minister for research and Education (BMBF).
